Who We Are

In the year 2000 2nd Look Laptops began selling Dell business grade remanufactured laptops. And we grew from there. We outgrew the founder's basement and then grew to desktops, servers, monitors and accessories. We grew from remanufactured to demo and finally to new equipment as well! We grew to software solutions, antivirus programs and the ability to service any PC made. Needless to say, we’ve long since outgrown our name – we’re not just remanufactured laptops anymore!

What We Do

We are a certified Dell value added reseller and have been for 10 years. We sell Dell business grade computers. They’re built better, last longer and will give you less trouble in the long run. And in the case of trouble, our business grade warranties make sure your computer is fixed and serving your needs quickly. Next business day – on-site (service is coming to YOU), parts and labor, no deductible and no hassle. If your 2^nd Look business grade computer breaks on a Tuesday, it’s fixed, on-site - on Wednesday – no charge.

Our machines come in three flavors:

NEW - We we can order new machines specifically for you with the features that you want.  And because of our relationship with Dell we can get them faster than you can if you ordered them on your own and we can often get them cheaper as well! If you don't believve us - ask our current customers!

DEMO - Order cancellations, factory demonstrations, inspection or instructional units - they all come with NEW Dell business-grade warranties at great savings.

REMANUFACTURED - After a short-term lease these machines are extensively rebuilt by Dell and then run through our bench test.  And most still have plenty of warranty on them!

The 2nd Look Philosophy

Buying a computer shouldn't be an impulse decision, nor should it be a stressful one.  All too often "big box" stores lure you in with the "great deals" and you end up buying what they have rather than what you require.  You end up buying consumer grade equipment with bells and whistles that you may never use and extremely limited warranties.

For 10 years 2nd Look has taken a different approach that starts with the most important thing - YOUR NEEDS!  We look at what you need a computer to do and then find you the perfect machine backed with a Dell Business-Grade warranty.  We search for a machine that has all the features that you need and none of the features that you don't.

We are paid by the unit; whether you purchase a $600 remanufactured laptop or a $4000 brand new engineering desktop, we make about the same.  Our incentive is to get you the most machine for your buget, without making you spend money needlessly.  No need to sell you a motor home if you're just driving to the grocery store.

What Other Stores Won't Tell You

The truth.  It seems pretty simple  but with computers the truth can be hard to find.   Most people are bombarded with tech speak that they don't understand and end up gettingb bullied into making ill informed decisions that are both time consuming and costly.

At 2nd Look you will get the truth, whether its the truth about a new computer you are considering or an existing machine that you are having serviced.  Even if we talk ourselves out of a sale we dont mind because we know we are doing the right thing by the customer.  We dont cram the latest and greatest gadgets down your throat, we dont dazzle you with technical talk.  We sit down with you and explain everything you need to know so that you can make an informed decision.

Our Remanufactured Machines

Many "refurbished" computers are resold after their first lease to open market, uncertified resellers. The manufacturer never sees them again. Uncertified resellers often remove all software including the operating system, strip the accessories, and then sell it as refurbished. You as a customer are viewed as a "one-time sell" and could end up with a machine with no operating system, no software and no support from the seller or manufacturer. Then you're stuck. Some resellers even take cables and cases that come with the original computer and sell them separately, thus adding substantial costs to their "bargain" computers.

All 2nd Look Computers have been remanufactured by Dell, at a Dell facility with Dell certified parts. We receive them directly from Dell and put them through a complete operational check before we send them on to you.

We guarantee a valid Dell tag number and a registered Express Service Code (all required for Dell technical support). We transfer all remaining warranty directly to you at no charge. When you receive your 2nd Look computer, you have to do three things: Open it up, turn it on and go.
